N: Aesthetic rehabilitation treatments were frequently sought by patients wishing to improve their self-esteem. Therefore, with the evolution of digital flow through intraoral scanners in the installation of porcelain veneers, more detailed and agile planning has become possible, providing a better perspective for the patient. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study is to present and evaluate, by means of a literature review, the importance of the oral scanner in the preparation of ceramic veneers. METHODOLOGY: This is a bibliographic, exploratory study carried out by means of a literature review restricted to the following electronic databases: Google Scholar, LILACS, SciELO and PubMed, using the following filters: date of publication [September 2006 - June 2022], language [Portuguese and/or English], descriptors and their combinations: "MORAL REHABILITATION", "COMPUTER ASSISTED DESIGN", "DENTAL FACETS", "DENTAL PORCELAIN". The following inclusion criteria were adopted: mouth scanning and aesthetic rehabilitation. RESULTS: The research highlights the importance of digital planning and intraoral scanning to apply ceramic veneers effectively. Integrating the digital flow improves planning, saving time and increasing predictability. This makes the work process more efficient and of high quality. The articles that formed the final sample of this study explore the results about the importance of digital flow in the planning and execution of ceramic veneers. Fifty-nine articles were identified using the filters. After a thorough reading and application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, six articles were selected for the results, published in Portuguese and English, providing information on the authors, titles, objectives, methodology and results of the study.FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The use of digital flow is essential in the treatment of ceramic veneers, benefiting planning, reducing clinical time and improving the predictability of the procedure. This approach gives professionals the flexibility to choose the most suitable technique, resulting in high-quality work that not only meets patients' expectations, but also restores smile aesthetics.pt_BR

A integração do fluxo digital melhora o planejamento, economizando tempo e aumentando a previsibilidade.
