There are several therapeutic approaches that aim to prepare the child with cerebral palsy for a function,in addition to maintaining or improving existing ones. The aim of this study was to perform a review of the literature to investigate the therapeutic modalities most used in the motor treatment of cerebral palsy. The following databases were used:LILACS, SciELO, PubMed e Academic Google, of the last five years, with the descriptors:cerebral palsy, physiotherapy, rehabilitation. Four hundred and fifty five scientific articles were listed, and 46 articles were selected for this review based on: title, abstract, subject, and classification by the CAPES portal. The results showed that the subjects with greater focus was about virtual reality, strength training, intensive neuromotor therapy, restriction-induced motion therapy, locomotor training, transcranial stimulation, and Biodex balancing system training. Despite contributing knowledge about interventions in cerebral palsy, the studies affirm that these modalities have beneficial effect conjugated to the conventional physiotherapy. There were also methodological limitations, inferring the need for greater accuracy and quality of information in scientific works.pt_BR
