Abstract: INTRODUCTION: For better joint mobility, stretching and flexing sessions can be done, causing the joints to be stimulated to perform movements that seek greater amplitude, but there is a clear difference between stretching and flexibility. The study in question wants to show the influence of stretching/flexibility in bodybuilding practitioners. OBJECTIVES: This work aims to show the influence of stretching sessions, whether they are done before the training, after or both moments, in bodybuilding practitioners. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive narrative review in the languages: English and Portuguese. RESULTS: The results after the end of the research, show that stretching sessions did not influence strength performance during multiple resistance training sessions. FINALCONSIDERATIONS: Stretching can be an important activity before, during or after a physical exercise session (resistance training), because in addition to providing a significant increase in range of motion (WMD), it does not interfere with force performance and maximum repetitions during resistance training.
