Humanized care of the nurse goes beyond providing a mechanistic assistance should be based on a holistic view in order to maintain the biopsychosocial balance so that the woman can have the experience of the child experienced in full. Objective: To collect data that prove the relevance of the humanized nurse's care in childbirth. Results: The humanization of childbirth care mainly implies that the professional's performance respects the physiological aspects of the woman, does not intervene unnecessarily, recognizes the social and cultural aspects of the child. childbirth and birth, promote health and offer the necessary emotional support to the woman and her family, facilitating the formation of family affective bonds and the mother-baby bond, respecting the woman in her individuality, the humanized assistance provided by the nurse aims at the well being and guaranteeing the reception, minimizing the stress that women experience in this moment so odd in their lives, giving them the protagonism of their history. The nurse's reception is based on trust, support and respect, facilitating the process of giving birth, free of any discrimination, restriction or denial. It is from the systematization of the humanized care that the parturient will be seen in an individual, integral and human way. Conclusion: It is concluded that the humanized care of the nurse in childbirth becomes paramount since he is the professional on the front line in the process of birth, ensuring the integrality of care, in a holistic way, this reflects in a positive way having as a consequence the mutual respect generated naturally between the nurse and the woman. Although humanization is a topic in evidence at the present time, there is still a long way to go to ensure its implementation. Based on this assumption, it is observed the relevance of the nurse practitioner's role in humanized care.
