Futebol: a arbitragem em destaque

Abstract

Football is a sport that stirs the emotions of everyone involved in the dispute: fans, players, managers, for many it is a time where it goes beyond the limits of reason. Amid this context there is an unremarkable person, the arbitrator who becomes most often the villain in every story. This study aims to highlight the importance of arbitration in a football match. Performing a stand about soccer and its history to the insertion of the arbitrator in this context. To carry out this study a bibliographic research on the history of football was held, football in Brazil and the arbitration in its general context. Among other considerations, this study concludes that the non-recognition of arbitration as a profession allied to lack of infrastructure in football, the dishonesty of some leaders, lack of rule of knowledge by athletes and technicians, in addition to assessments of its operations from the use of sophisticated technological features make the referee's job a challenge almost superhuman.
