Atuação do enfermeiro no Home Care

Abstract

Home Care is a modality, which offers services in the health area, where the patients receive assistance by the nurse, outside the hospital environment. Through this practice, the patient is guaranteed the promotion of the individual's health, maximizing the level of independence of the patient, minimizing the debilitating consequences of the contingencies and conditions that he administers. The objective of this study is to understand the importance of the nurse's role in home care (Home Care). The methodology used was a bibliographic research, in which original articles published in full and in the online form published in the Portuguese language and between the years 2000 and 2017 were analyzed. The research bases were Virtual Health Library - VHL, LILACS, National Library of Medicine - MEDLINE, Scielo, thesis bank University of São Paulo (USP). This study proved that home health care is both promoting and maintaining and restoring the patient's health.
