Abstract: INTRODUCTION: Rehabilitation in patients with severe bone resorption is a limited and complex procedure. There are treatment options available, one of which is the use of implants. Therefore, the patient needs to have a viable amount of bone to receive the fixation pin and subsequently the prosthesis. Dental bone grafting is a surgical procedure that consists of removing a fragment from the donor area and implanting it in the location where the repair will be carried out. It is used to reconstruct the area that has lost height or thickness. Its main purpose is to provide support for the dental implant. It is a complex procedure, where healing and adaptation can take months. The aim of this work is to present the most relevant aspects about the rehabilitation of a patient with an atrophic jaw, treated through graft and implant. OBJECTIVES: Its objective is to present a good result in the treatment of rehabilitation with grafts and implants in atrophic jaws. METHODOLOGY: Exploratory bibliographic research in the PubMed and GoogleScholar databases. RESULTS: Concludes that oral rehabilitation in patients with marked bone resorption is a complex task, but there are treatment options available, such as bone grafting and dental implants. These options can promote not only patients' health and quality of life, but also aesthetic and functional improvements. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: It is important that dental health professionals carefully evaluate each individual case, taking into account the patient's general health, the extent of bone resorption and other relevant factors, in order to determine the most appropriate and effective treatment plan for each patient. specific situation.
