O uso de cimentos biocerâmicos em tratamentos de dentes imaturos associado com técnicas de endodontia regenerativa: relato de caso clínico

Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Immature teeth with an open apex represent a great challenge for endodontic treatment. OBJECTIVES: To report a clinical case of regenerative endodontic treatment on an immature tooth with pulp necrosis with a 15-month follow-up. METHODOLOGY: Tooth 22 presented a negative pulp sensitivity test and the presence of a radiolucent image associated with the periapex that was open. The tooth was diagnosed as a chronic periapical abscess and regenerative treatment with bioceramic was proposed. The treatment was carried out in three sessions due to the patient's lack of collaboration. RESULTS: At 15-month follow-up, a cone beam tomography was performed, where it was possible to record the apical closure, the presence of extravasated obturator material in the periapical region and the presence of a hypodense area associated with the periapical region. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The use of bioceramic cements in treatments of immature teeth associated with regenerative endodontic techniques allows apical closure.
