      <title>Atuação da cinesioterapia na indução da neuroplasticidade na reabilitação de cães com lesão medular: revisão de literatura</title>
      <link>https://dspace.unigoyazes.edu.br/handle/123456789/2148</link>
      <description>Título: Atuação da cinesioterapia na indução da neuroplasticidade na reabilitação de cães com lesão medular: revisão de literatura
Abstract: Objective: To analyze the role of kinesiotherapy in stimulating neuroplasticity and&#xD;
promoting functional recovery in dogs with spinal cord injuries, highlighting its&#xD;
importance in neurological rehabilitation. Methodology: This is a qualitative and&#xD;
descriptive narrative review of the literature, conducted through searches of digital&#xD;
databases such as PubMed and SciELO, drawing primarily on articles published in the&#xD;
last 15 years, as well as classic references relevant to the theoretical framework of the&#xD;
topic. Results: The data obtained demonstrate that kinesiotherapy, through passive&#xD;
and active exercises, provides sensorimotor stimuli that activate activity-dependent&#xD;
plasticity and elevate neurotrophins. The analysis indicates that repetitive training&#xD;
modulates central pattern generators and strengthens remaining neural pathways,&#xD;
restoring gait and preventing complications. Conclusion: Kinesiotherapy proves to be&#xD;
an indispensable pillar in neurorehabilitation, achieving the goal of inducing adaptive&#xD;
synaptic reorganization and restoring locomotor autonomy in patients.

      <title>Osteopatia hipertrófica paraneoplásica por condrossarcoma pulmonar em cão: relato de caso</title>
      <link>https://dspace.unigoyazes.edu.br/handle/123456789/2147</link>
      <description>Título: Osteopatia hipertrófica paraneoplásica por condrossarcoma pulmonar em cão: relato de caso
Abstract: Objectives: Hypertrophic osteopathy (OH) is a secondary disease&#xD;
characterized by periosteal proliferation. The paraneoplastic presentation of OH&#xD;
is associated with primary or metastatic lung tumors, such as chondrosarcoma.&#xD;
Clinical manifestations include pain, limb edema, and claudication. Diagnossis&#xD;
is made through radiographic examination, allowing visualization of the&#xD;
periosteal proliferation. Intevention for OH involves ablation of the neoplasm&#xD;
and vagotomy. Methodology: A male, mixed-breed dog was presented with&#xD;
bilateral edema of the thoracic limbs, pain, and lameness, with a history of&#xD;
chondrosarcoma 3 years prior. Radiographic were requested, identifying&#xD;
palisading periosteal proliferation in the diaphysis of the phalanges to the&#xD;
humerus, also detecting various pulmonary nodules. Prednisolone 20mg was&#xD;
prescribed for 24 days, resulting is a reduction of edema, pain, and lameness in&#xD;
the limbs. The findings were consistent with paraneoplastic OH, decribed as the&#xD;
main primary cause. Remission of chondrosarcoma 3 years after limb&#xD;
amputation without the aid of adjacent protocols was 893 days. Discussion:&#xD;
The findings were consistent with paraneoplastic OH, associated with lung&#xD;
neoplasia, described the main primary cause. Remission of chondrosarcoma 3&#xD;
years after limb amputation without the aid of adjacente protocols was 893&#xD;
days. Conclusion: Hypertrophic osteopathy, is caused by several factors, the&#xD;
main one being lung neoplasia. Its etiology is note clear, so further studies are&#xD;
needed.

      <title>Fatores associados à taxa de prenhez pós-transferência De embriões bovinos em condições de campo</title>
      <link>https://dspace.unigoyazes.edu.br/handle/123456789/2146</link>
      <description>Título: Fatores associados à taxa de prenhez pós-transferência De embriões bovinos em condições de campo
Abstract: ABSTRACT&#xD;
Introduction: Embryo transfer (ET) is an essential biotechnology in bovine&#xD;
reproduction, boosting productive efficiency and genetic progress in herds.&#xD;
Understanding the factors that impact pregnancy rates, such as cryopreservation,&#xD;
reproductive management, and genetic characteristics, is crucial to maximize&#xD;
reproductive performance in commercial production systems. Objective: To evaluate&#xD;
the factors associated with pregnancy rate at 30 days post-embryo transfer (P30) in&#xD;
bovine recipients subjected to in vitro-produced embryo transfer, considering embryo&#xD;
type, semen type, donor and sire breed, embryonic stage, and corpus luteum&#xD;
functionality. Methodology: This was an observational and descriptive study&#xD;
conducted in a bovine reproductive biotechnology laboratory located in Goiânia, Goiás,&#xD;
Brazil, between January and February 2026. A total of 180 embryo transfer procedures&#xD;
were retrospectively analyzed. Animals not evaluated at P30 were excluded from the&#xD;
&#xD;
analysis. Data were subjected to descriptive and inferential analyses using the Chi-&#xD;
square test and Fisher’s Exact Test (p&lt;0.05), considering limitations arising from&#xD;
&#xD;
sample imbalance among groups. Results: Fresh embryos showed a higher&#xD;
pregnancy rate (40.3%) compared to cryopreserved embryos (25.0%), although the&#xD;
difference was not statistically significant (p&gt;0.05). Conventional semen showed&#xD;
similar performance to sexed semen, with no statistical difference between groups.&#xD;
Recipients classified in the D1 and E1 categories showed higher pregnancy rates&#xD;
compared to other corpus luteum classifications. Regarding genetic factors, variation&#xD;
in pregnancy rates was observed among donors and sires, without a consistent pattern&#xD;
of superiority among the evaluated groups. Conclusion: The efficiency of embryo&#xD;
transfer under field conditions is influenced by multiple factors, with embryo type being&#xD;
the factor that demonstrated the largest numerical difference in pregnancy rates,&#xD;
highlighting the need for strict embryo and recipient selection, as well as standardized&#xD;
management protocols.

      <title>Inspeção ante mortem e post mortem principais ocorrências no abate sanitário de bovinos e prevenção: revisão de literatura</title>
      <link>https://dspace.unigoyazes.edu.br/handle/123456789/2145</link>
      <description>Título: Inspeção ante mortem e post mortem principais ocorrências no abate sanitário de bovinos e prevenção: revisão de literatura
Abstract: Cattle farming in Brazil plays an essential role in the economy, with the country being&#xD;
one of the world's largest exporters of beef. Meat safety and quality are fundamental&#xD;
to public health and maintaining access to national and international markets. In the&#xD;
production process, ante-mortem and post-mortem inspections in slaughterhouses&#xD;
aim to ensure that only meat fit for human consumption is marketed, while also allowing&#xD;
the identification of pathological alterations that can lead to partial or total&#xD;
condemnation of carcasses. Thus, this review aimed to address the main pathological&#xD;
alterations responsible for partial and total condemnations of bovine carcasses during&#xD;
ante-mortem and post-mortem inspection, as well as to discuss the sanitary and&#xD;
economic impacts associated with these losses. The methodology used was based on&#xD;
a descriptive and qualitative literature review, carried out through the analysis of&#xD;
scientific articles, legislation, books, and publications related to the sanitary inspection&#xD;
of bovine carcasses, condemnations in slaughterhouses, and public health. Literature&#xD;
review has shown that sanitary inspection is fundamental to ensuring food safety and&#xD;
preventing zoonoses in the beef production chain. Carcass condemnations are&#xD;
associated with both infectious diseases and management and transportation failures,&#xD;
generating significant economic impacts. Therefore, the integration of inspection, good&#xD;
sanitary practices, and technical training is essential to reduce losses and ensure the&#xD;
quality of Brazilian livestock production.
